Finally got her down naked

My frame that is
Now that I have my frame completely dismantled, I have some decisions to make. I do still need to remove the cross member from the 7?? frame in the background. First, do I sand blast and use traditional primer or one of the paint over rust products. I have previously posted my bad experience with Eastwood’s product, so it is out. Second is the topcoat to use. Next, I need to decide if the truck will be mildly lowered or stay stock. I live on dirt and some rock road. The truck will be a daily driver and see some light towing. Then rear end ratio, posi unit, gas tank and location, and motor: gas or diesel. I have a 6.2 diesel that needs a rebuild but will have to start from zero on gas. I will be posting progress however slow it will be as “My Farm Truck Progress”. All suggestions and ideas will be appreciated.

I had mine sandblasted then I applied self etching primer, filler primer and a catalyzed synthetic enamel. (Martin Senour #6098) They call this chassis black but it is basically a semi gloss high quality paint. I am very happy with the end result. I'm am not a fan of any product you apply over rust.

The only benifit of changing crossmembers to the later style is that it is easier to remove the oil pan.
Otherwise everything will swap over
