Measure your springs. They should be 52" eye-to-eye.
I don't believe the longer 56" springs were ever used on blazers.

Thanks, I will. Their website did not list suspension for Blazers, only C10's. They did have 52" and 56" options.

Keith, I went to performanceonline and the only drop leafs they have listed are for c10 and c20 trucks. I sent them an e-mail asking about Blazers and the answer I got said that factory leafs are different part numbers so they did not think these would work. I don't have the Blazer yet to measure the length.

I used C10 52" leaf springs on my '82 2wd blazer.
Wait until you get it to verify width and length of yours.

You want drop leaf springs.

I agree on the factory comment. It was like going to the parts store and if it doesn't show up on the computer the person helping you has no idea what you are asking. I'm hoping if they are both 52" then the drop would be the same regardless of blazer or c10.

Blazer will be delivered the 2nd week of April. I need a little help on wheel sizing. I found some wheels that are 20x8.5 w/5.25bs front and 20x10 w/ 5bs rear. These were for a c10, they should clear suspension and fenders for a Blazer shouldn't they? I didn't know if the axle width was different from c10 to blazer and wanted to double check before I buy these wheels.

After a slight delay it showed up yesterday. It was transported open so it's filthy, I'll get it washed and get a few pics up soon. Time to plan the drop and wheels.

Thanks, how did you get 7" in the rear?
Also, my driver's side is about 1/2" higher than the passenger side but in addition to that the front sits a little over 1" higher in the front on both sides. If I drop the rear more than the front it will really be nose high I think.

I'm thinking I will need to drop the front 1" more than the rear to get it level which is what I would like to end up with.

sold the blazer already but from what i remember (had a shop do the drop)...

front was 2" drop spindles with 3" drop coils

rear: flip kit with lowering blocks....and at first he said try driving without the c notch but every bump i hit you could feel it so i brought back and he did the c notch. after that blazer rode really nice

Malamute, i lowered my 76 blazer with a flip (vendor on the boards) and crown suspension cnotch for the rear with 2.5 spindles and 3/4 ton springs cut 1.5 coils up front. She rides great but its just a cruiser so i keep my eyes peeled to the road for potholes and big dips.

Now for my 77 i will be ordering the drop leafs thanks to the link posted here because it will be a "daily daily" driver.

Nice looking Blazers. I think I'm going with the 52" leafs as well. I want something a little more driver friendly.

I don't want to state the obvious, but there is no comment about just de-arching the rear leaf springs. Since the Blazers sit low in the rear anyway, you can usually get away with a small de-arch and close the gap you want to close. I took 3" out of mine and still have about 2" worth of travel to the factory frame rails before the axle hits. Mine is not hammered like others, but it is very "drivable" at this height. Hope it helps

I'm assuming this means to remove one or two leafs from the stock springs but I may be wrong. I'd also love to hear some clarification on this one.

De arching is ususally done by a spring shop. They actually flatten the curvature of the leaf spring pack. I consider this only an option if you have a shop locally that can do that.
Personally I would rather have NEW springs,...

That being said, I think I will order the rear leafs and install them first so I can figure out how much drop I want in the front. Bad or good idea?

Here's what I did:
Cheap flip kit along with the 1/2" block that came from the factory to bring it down a little bit more. 4x4 rear hangers to bring it back up a little. It has about 1 3/4" between the axle and frame and has never bottomed.

I would LOVE to change it up VERY slightly and get the front lowered just a wee bit so that it is not rear heavy and looks level / a teensy bit fron heavy. Any suggestions as to how to do this? I don't want to compromise 4x4 ability (just for snow / sand gravel road - no rock climbing) but that rear down stance frankly bugs me. Idea's... SIMPLE ideas?

Easiest and cheapest fix is to add rear blocks to bump it up level. How low is it?

It was lifted with Blocks at the rear and springs at the front previously - I didn't like the lifted look though so took it back to stock. This is an old pic here but shows its current height which I like, at the back, but just want a TINY tweak at the front.
