Cool Grill options

So I have a 72 c20 that i'm building right now and the grill of the truck has seen better days to say the least... I have always been fond of the 68 gril and was wondering if anyone has tried it. searched around and couldn't really find any information on the subject.

Thanks, Cody.

Re: Grill options

Been done lots of times, or I should say a '67-68 grill in conjunction with a 67-68 hood, and fenders are different if it's a Chevy. If it's a GMC the 67-70 grills are the same (except the 67 has "GMC" embossed into it) and interchange with 71-72 grills. The filler/cap on top of the GMC grill is different between 67-68 hoods and 70-72 hoods.

Re: Grill options

Wasn't sure what the original poster was really looking to do, so I kept it brief hoping to pull out more details.

You said go to 68 grill in your original post ... hence the confusion.

Re: Grill options

You should go back and edit your post to say that you're wanting a '69/70 grille, since that's what you meant to say.

Can't blame you for wanting the 69/70 grille. One of the best looking IMHO.

It should be pretty straightforward. Keep in mind that the 71/72 grilles don't have blinkers, so they put them in the front bumper I believe. So, you'd want a 67-70 bumper, or it'll look funny.
