Door window weatherstripping kit

I'm going to replace all of my 72 c10 lwb door window and vent weather-stripping, felt etc; was going to purchase from LMC; are their kits ok quality wise or should I be looking at another vendor? Also; the drivers side window has to be messed with to get it to come down from the most upward position, it gets hung up; is that a regulator issue or is there something else I can adjust? Thanks!

Re: Door window weatherstripping kit

I have heard lots of negatives on LMC. I'm replacing all my weatherstripping too and X2 on Precision Brand and GMCPauls stuff!

I order the vent window weatherstripping from Classic Parts because of this:

Re: Door window weatherstripping kit

Precision is what I sell and use.

The hang up issue may be regulator but also may be the vent window and/or the rear window channel run seal, they deteriorate and "gum up" the channels.

It's hanging up near the far left side (on drivers door). I have to grab the upper left of the glass and lift it to get it to start going down.

What is the name of your company so I can check out your prices on a complete kit.

You may also want to check the window sash on the bottom of the glass, they tend to rust and may be loose on the glass (my guess the rear channel run is brittle and not allowing it to run square in the channel)

No website, just a small local shop. Im a vendor for Precision, stock items or drop ship. I will send you a PM.

I also recommend Precision brand rubber.
I am using Precision products (Doors, Cab, Windshield and Back Glass) that I purchased from Wes at Classic Heartbeat.
http://www.classicheartbeat.com
He has dealt with Precision to reproduce the best quality aftermarket rubber products for our trucks.
Give him a call, he will answer all your questions.
