Summit branded ring and pinion
Does anyone have any real experience with the Summit brand ring and pinion gear sets?

Re: Summit branded ring and pinion
Had a set in a '79 GMC... whined quite a bit. Replaced them after only 500 miles. Whine gone with different brand.

Re: Summit branded ring and pinion
Every set of Richmond gears I've installed over the last 30 years have been "quiet". No whine like the cheaper cut gears. If I remember... even Motive Gear says that you can expect some noticeable noise out of their gearsets.
