Question about my rear brakes

I’ve been hearing an annoying rattle/scraping when I drive. At first I thought a rock got caught in my dust shield or it was touch the front rotor. Turns out the sounds was from the driver side rear drum..so I pulled the drum n a spring and some kinda rod fell out. Have no idea where it goes or why they fell out. Can someone tell me where these go?

Re: Question about my rear brakes

You can always pull the other side wheel/drum off to find out.

Re: Question about my rear brakes

The strut is for the e brake...your e brake wont work without it but your normal brakes will...you just wont have a functioning e brake...I would fix it back like it's supposed to be...
Sorry..my puter didn't update...I see geezer already answered you
