Re: Rollback! Oh my!

If you're going to go to the trouble of putting a hydroboost on it, might as well drop in a 6.0 and a 4l80e......

Oh believe me I have thought hard about it!

I just got it back home this afternoon. My buddy did the front brakes and shocks and rebuilt the 2 barrel Quadrajet carburetor for me. I had to put a battery in it also. Man it drove great I rode around for about a hr. Stopped by another buddies that I buy all my tires from to check on prices for new ones. $110. each installed! $660.00 TOTAL. I need the front 2 now so next week it gets them. I'll work some over time and get the rears later.
For it to be a 67 it does drive nice though for what it is.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Now that you mention tires! That's a great price!
I bought tires last year for 2 trucks!
A problem I have with mine is where to put the spare?
Mike.

Talking Re: Rollback! Oh my!

My son has been very helpful with my tires for the Ramp truck.
He started working for a place that he fixes flats on the 18 wheeliers out on the interstate. He got me 4 like new tires off of a service truck with Plenty of miles left on them.

Yep, I've been doing some small stuff to it and have a bunch left to do. May get 2 new tires for the front for Christmas and go ahead and get them al mounted.
I got a rebuilt tilt wheel to go in it and some other small stuff.
