So just getting my blazer about ready to be drive able... Basically picked it up as a half done project and then went through and upgraded and modified most everything but anyway... I dont really want to do carpet as i plan on being topless a lot and i know moisture is possible... Dont want to get wet carpet and rust/mold happening underneath. There has already been some rust repair in the front floor area... but the bed floor is super clean... I originally planned to Line X the interior so the water ran out but not really sure thats the right approach either... Might just LineX the front floor since its all welded patches and leave the bed area stock painted...
So curious what all you guys have done?

My floors were rust free. I had them Rhino lined to protect from the Washington rain and water from when I wash it. I'm glad to know it's protected although I might still put carpet over it.

I had bare floors and found they got real hot due to close proximity to the exhaust, Not sure how much heat will be dissipated by the Rhino lining and would be curious to know. I plan on coating from the seats back to the tailgate with Rhino lining..

My plan is to go back with the heat shield and EVA sound deadener sold by LMC and the rubber floor mat over that.

That way when I drive with flip flops I'm good to go.

I am currently running header that are generating some heat I know.

I've got headers and 2 1/2 exhaust and don't notice any heat coming from the rhino lined floor.

Rubber or vinyl floor coverings can actually cause more rust than carpet. With carpet, the moisture will eventually come up and out. However, when moisture gets trapped under rubber or vinyl it stays there. So if you go with a rubber/vinyl floor covering, be sure to pull it up now and then to let any moisture out.

I sealed my entire tub with Eastwood's rust converter/encapsulator before installing Fat Mat. Then went with carpet. Similar to POR 15.
