Well I FINALLY have a 2002.

I have been looking for a while at replacing my Dodge Caravan. It has major major issues and barely runs. My 14 year old no longer fits. He is 6 foot tall. My wife is driving the 96 suburban. But we need both cars to sit our whole family if we needed. So I bought a beat up 2002 with 200000 miles. It had a transmission and transfer case rebuilt.

I just had the water pump replaced and I am having an exhaust leak fixed. The BCM I think is bad, it was hit in the front right side on the corner. The back lower right panel in the rear has a large bend dent. Interior is ok but it is somewhat beat up as well. Windshield needs to be replaced as well as the wiper blades. The cats, o2sensors, and muffler need to be replaced. The fuel pump and filter also need to be replaced. The tires are bald with cord showing and two of the rims are bent. The step rails are worn with its plastic warped and cracking.

Due to extreme issues involving family lawsuit in which I will not go into details, I only had 1200 bucks to spend on a beater car. I got this for 850 bucks. But I have a plan...I will pound out the bent from bumper and rear bend if I can. I am buying a used grill for 50 bucks. I have a mechanic that will fix the electrical and the BCM replacement if needed and handle the exhaust work. He is also going to replace the fuel filter and pump. My wife is going to sew the rips in the leather seats and shampoo the carpeting. I will have the windshield replaced and plan a custom look. I am thinking of an HD Silverado hood look. Some shiny chrome rims and new tires will be expensive......BUT THE COOL PART. I have a Suburban project baby.

Heck yeah. I just bought a 2002 4x4 with 283,000 miles on it. Its my weekend lake truck only, so I didn't care too much about the high miles since everything works. Burb's rock.
