93 pace truck
I'm sure this is an old question, but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer yet.
Is there a way to accurately determine the authenticity of a truck being advertised as a "pace truck". I know they weren't really an on track pace truck (just a commerative issue by GM), But GM usually keeps records on about everything--just wonder if it can be proven.

Re: 93 pace truck
In the glove box on the "Service Parts Identification" tag there will be a "5S6" to designate the option of the Indy Pace Truck options. Also in the GM Herritage online manual if you scroll down towards the bottom to page 67 you will see more information on the pace truck options and codes. I will try to put a link on here to the site.
