I watch this show all the time. It seems like Aaron Kaufman always goes with those wheels. They are not my style but I'm sure they are more for 'purpose' than appearance.

They showed them just wet sanding it and clearing it. The previous owner could have painted it before and when they sanded it went down to red. On the show they were surprised at how much red showed up on the truck.

Re: Fast N Loud did a '65

I'd bet you that Forgeline probably gave the wheels to them for some coverage on the show and the side of the truck. Hate they didn't put a PB on the side of it....That PB piece is bada$$!!! I agree though, the trim is really excessive, but otherwise a pretty trick ride that I'd gladly park at my place

I don't hate Forgelines at all. They are a badass wheel. I just don't like the red lips and in my opinion, the style doesn't work well with this truck. There are better wheel choices in my opinion. I think that if they left the wheels with a gunmetal center and a brushed lip that it would match the overabundance of trim. Chrome bumpers would have helped, too.

Just nitpicking.......if it was sitting in my driveway, I wouldn't complain!

I like how everyone wants the truck to look like they want it to look Ha.

Just glad there building a truck cuz they have built some stupid s--t on that show.

I liked the 3 1968 FORDS they built also not my style but cool in their own way.

Re: Fast N Loud did a '65

After part 2 is shown on tv. you know they will put the truck up on the ol' interwebz (ebay) forsale. ( probably for 50-60K) that 572 engine is 15k alone to purchase.
Then the winning bidder/ buyer can change the wheels, and or remove the extra, extra, extra trim as they like.

It's not to my taste, but kinda cool nonetheless. I wish they wouldn't do any of our trucks, now everybody will have to have one. I love Aaron on that show, Richard is only OK for me. But I do like the show.

Na think that is when you paint several different colors to fake rust paint layers ect then sand it off to make it look old.

They just wet sanded it so the clear would stick.

Those particular wheels are designed to take the punishment of a road course. Most aftermarket wheels would fold under the G force that is applied in the corners.

So True

If you have ever seen one of their builds - most are half-assed jobs that look okay on TV but are far from a professional finished build - especially for what sleazy Richard wants for them.

Guys remember this is a TV show....its made for entertainment and ratings not honest quality builds. And Richard is a humble Texas huckster worth over $15M, whose only real talent is selling "Richard"

IMHO it would look better if the fauxtina blended from panel to panel instead of looking like its been pieced together from several different trucks

I haven't seen the show but in these pics the original fuel filler hole is left open. I drove a truck once that had the neck removed and open like that, and around 50 mph it droned like one of those Australian Didgeridoo instruments inside the cab as the wind whipped across that hole.

Re: Fast N Loud did a '65

That's real patina just wet sanded and cleared. I like it. It's a pace car hence the race style wheels. I like the cage they built for it. I want to do the same with it coming out low under the back window. I do think Richard is wack for not ever getting his hands dirty. Who owns a car shop yet knows nothing about working on them. Aaron's cool tho, the ford he built for himself is one bad ass ride. I was happy they did our truck cause I honestly believe it's the best thing they have put out yet. Not that that means anything. I just wish they had spent more time showing it instead of his lame beer assistant jokes. Have y'all seen the dragster they are now sponsoring? Pretty cool.
