63 C10 wiring

Im trying to help a family friend that is 65 yrs old and not computer literate. His question is- on a 1963 c10 p/u is the wiring the same for a 6 cyl as is a 283 v8? Thank You in advance. Jumm

Welcome!

Electrically, the wiring is the same for an inline-6 and a small block V8 (such as the 283).

Physically, there are some differences in the wire length and routing for the engine harness.

Also be aware that there are wiring differences between trucks with a warning light style instrument cluster vs. the factory gauge cluster. Those differences apply to all engines.
