Longhorn with 350-how common?

Ran into a '70 C20 Longhorn the other day. It has a 350. Hadn't seen one before, all I have run into had 396. Are they pretty common or was the 350 unusual in a Longhorn?

Re: Longhorn with 350-how common?

My 70 is a big block, have seen many with 350, and lots of Longhorns seem to be 4 speeds.
The unusual is seeing a 292 six in one! I suppose because most people bought them to tow with.

Re: Longhorn with 350-how common?

I took apart a ‘70 GMC Longhorn 25 years ago. It was a 350/SM465.

No such thing as a 67 longhorn, may be a 68 like mine. Mine came with a 396 and a t400. Dana 60 rear with 3.54s and a power-loc diff.

Re: Longhorn with 350-how common?

I'd say there is a larger amount of big block longhorns that any other configuration of these trucks. but I'd also say there were more 350 powered ones. In '68 the 350 was the new bigger small block that just came out.
