Eaton 3/4 ton Locker question

I have a 4:57 Locker out of a 72 3/4 ton and was wanting to know if you can use the locker part with a 4:10 gear. Thanks

Re: Eaton 3/4 ton Locker question

Joe, The NoSpin replaces the spider gears and cross shafts inside the differential case. So yes it is an easy swap, pull it down, split the case, dump out the guts and install the NoSpin. Take a look in the factory overhaul manual for more details.

Re: Eaton 3/4 ton Locker question

If the case splits apart to get at the actual locker, make sure you use a threaded rod as in the pic to hold the unit together when you split the case. Also before splitting the case look for some index marks so when going back together you get it indexed correctly. It'll be ....usually... an X marking the alignment. If the case does not split apart, you'll have to look for another unit with the correct ring gear offset
