Re: Craigslist ad one extreme tow hook

Didn't ask him, I'm not interested. I just text him to see if he still had it before putting it on this forum. If you're interested contact him, I know a set is going for a 1000 to 1200

Thanks for adding the link, I thought there was something in the world that did not allow that. Maybe it's just for commercial selling of stuff not Craigslist stuff

Pretty sure was on this forum that someone sold the set for $1,200. I have to look back to find the actual thread.

The high value hooks are 1972 only, they would not be on a 1970.

Re: Craigslist ad one extreme tow hook

I went out and looked at mine on my '71 and they look exactly the same. Why are they worth so much and why are the '72's different?

from what I've seen on this forum the 72 is the only one that has the extreme bend. If you have that and they're on your 71 they probably came off of a 72. There worth I guess it has to do with the Rarity.

Thank you. Mine are in the SPID so came with the truck. I'm not saying they are the same but they sure look like it!

From a 2011 thread, the 71 has a slight bend whereas 72 are extreme

Thanks for the good info. I wonder if anyone has tried to heat and bend typical hooks to extreme bend. Looks doable

My truck is original owner (was my Father-In-Laws and he gave it to my wife) and pretty much stock so I'm gonna say stock 71's
