Are you going to look at the Kwik top bracket? Or maybe the Holley brackets? A friend is putting an LS in a 65 burb and he is impressed with Holley.

Here is a low mount for consideration. Believe on this one it is 10.5 inches from crank centerline to outside of the compressor.
