1969 Chevy stepside fender brace

Anyone know who sells the threaded fender/step brace that attaches to the frame?

Easily finding the other 3 of the four braces needed for each fender (which I don't need). Most sites just list the center braces or the rear one.

Looking for OEM or OER parts

I have seen some other really old posts asking the same thing but only got the "just fab one" helpful advice.

Far as I know it is not reproduced. If you can't find used, I have know folks to make their own out of threaded rod.

You could also bend a smooth rod and thread the ends.

This reminds me, I kept two of the longer fender braces to make a pair of these. Need to get that done.

BLIND SQUIRREL FINDS NUT!

After looking all over for braces and before just welding my olds ones up, I saw that Classic Industries had some that looked the same but were said to only fit 55-59 step sides. I asked if they could get a measurement for me but they said it would take a couple days. On a gamble I ordered them and I couldn't believe it.......The are exactly the same.

Re: 1969 Chevy stepside fender brace

The picture from the manual (circled) appears to include the long/steps in the abbreviated model numbers as well as the full short/step model 10704 so I would tend to think so.

Never actually worked on a long/step so I am not 100%. Perhaps someone else will verify.

(Fender step to frame brace)
Fit perfectly! No alteration or bending at all, slid right in and had room for adjustment as did the original.
