Most 15x8 wheels have a 4" backspace.
I would think the same 4" backspace for a 15x10.

Unless you go to a larger diameter wheel, (18"-or greater),... I doubt you can increase the backspacing or the rim will hit the tie rod end (up front).

So if they had the same BS as the 8 inch steel wheels and rally wheels the 10 inch rim would stick out an extra couple of inches. Trying to avoid that sticking out look (if that makes sense).

I have run 33x12.5 15's on the stock style 8 inch wide rims on a couple of trucks and they worked great. Now I'm considering 35x12.5 15's and I was thinking about moving up to a little larger mag wheel because the tire is a little larger. Only thinking about going with 35's because they look a bit better with a four inch lift.

I do have 8 inch mags already and I'm just unsure about good safe fitment of a little bigger tire.

35s will fit on an 8” rim no problem. Width is the same, just taller tire.

Yeah i know the basic specs are the same,I just was just considering that overall it’s a bit more tire, and I usually consider 33x12.5’s max for a 8 inch rim.

Correct.
Look at your 15" wheels that are on the truck now.
See if there is any more room to move the rim inward without hitting the tie rod end or anything else.
I really doubt there is room for more backspacing.

I just put 18x10 with 35x12.50 on my 72 k10. -44 backspace. Truck has a 4in lift.

I assume you meant -44 offset.
Offset and backspace are different ways to measure the same thing.
Per this handy chart,... that everyone looking to buy wheels, should have,...
That equates to 3.75" backspace.

35/12.50s are the same width requiring the same wheel as 33/12.50s. 10" rims will do the same for a K/10 as a K/20. The backspace on a 10" may be a touch more than an 8", but it's true that traditionally all aftermarket wide wheels would be 4" give or take 1/4" or so. All I know is all the wheels I bought for my trucks for all those years we only ever discussed width and diameter when buying and they all fit. That was before wheels got goofy

You will have to watch the rim going against the tierod on a 15in rim.

There are a couple guys that run some wide mags on their two wheel drives. C-10king has a really great looking set of mags on his black truck. They fit perfectly. Ive seen other member trucks that have wide mags that stick out ... Not a look I personally care for.

My guess is backspacing on two or four wheel should be around 4 inch to avoid the sticking out too far thing. And when it comes to half ton trucks Im a 15 inch rim guy.

Is that a valve stem on the inside of that rim? That is just wrong. The air valve should always be to the outside (for obvious reasons) and certainly on the opposite side of the caliper. I learned to pay attention to that building motorcycle wheels where you have the choice of flipping wheel direction. Got one all built, trued up, and mounted. Pushed bike forward and ripped the valve stem off on the caliper... DOH!! That is with factory spec wheels.

I ran 15 x 19s on this '71. The only clearance issue was you had to grind a bit on the casting ridge down the middle

Yes it is and all the research I did before ordering my rims and tires to make sure they fit and looked the way I wanted nowhere in the rim specs did it say they came with 2 valve stems. I called the company and they said it's pretty much standard on all new big rims. If I would have known that I would have had them plug that hole before they mounted them up and shipped them to me. They told me to have a local shop reverse the valve stem towards the inside but I bought some nice plugs to use instead. Sucks that I'm going to have to have them broke back down to solve this problem.

That does suck. To be honest, I had a hard time believing my eyes when I saw that valve stem in the picture. This is a whole new thing I have never heard of. Why??? So you can lay up under your vehicle to check the pressure or add air instead of having it staring right at you conveniently located on the outside? Makes perfect sense. I mean not crawling up under the vehicle is how they did it 80 years ago and we need to advance forward into stupidity. Sorry, I'm having a hard time grasping this.

I guess normally they put the Tpms sensor there. But most off-road guys like to put there pressure gauge on one side and adj the air on the other.
