Suburban Step Notch

Does anyone have any pictures of how they step notched a Suburban? Can you use notches designed for the pickups? Can you still fit a 3rd row seat back there? Do you need to clearance for the driveshaft?

Re: Suburban Step Notch

You can use a "C" notch for a C10, it will fit the Suburban. No problem with driveshaft clearance. The 3rd seat will still fit also.
All you have to do is cut the floor 8"X10" above the 3rd member, so that when it is lowered all the way, it wont bust the wood floor.

This is the kind of notch I am talking about. Does anyone have any pictures or experience with them in a burb?

Re: Suburban Step Notch

Frizzle fry put one on his burb, but because it’s such a modified build it may or may not help you.

I think the name of his build thread is something like ... joined the short wheel base club
