Actually, back in the nineties, When my dad and I were building these trucks regularly, my dad built a pretty nice 72 Cheyenne and I don't think he bought a new part.

New front end ... Cool ............ what did you put in?

Extra parts..... I have a barn full of them mostly crap though but once in awhile I load up the truck take it to the swap and make a few bucks on them and have allot of fun and I am recycling right?

ECE 4.5/6 drop.

The control arms are getting reused and the 71/72 stock spindles are getting hoarded away...you know, in case I buy another 67-70 that needs disc brakes!

Front springs are still good original 1971 V8 springs. Will sell those locally.

I had to cut the back springs to get the bolts out. What a pain in the ass that was. I did the front end swap in a few hours before I decided to pull it back apart for a full rebuild. I was going to "wait" but I didn't like the amount of wiggle the UCA and LCA shaft bushings had, so my conscience got the better of me, even though it would have probably been fine. The back... wow... spent 3-4 hours per side, and that was without touching the rear shock mounts. No way I can get those out. Going to take it to a muffler shop I know and have them torch them out for a few bucks. I'm too scared to do anything back there (right next to blazer tank) but they didn't seem minding welding right next to it a few months ago when they did my exhaust.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

You're going to have to wait a bit longer to see it in person Andy. My suspension parts haven't come in yet. It probably won't be back on the ground until Sunday. I'll also be at the Clemson game on Sat. I wish I could go because I would love to win that spray in liner for my new Z71.
