Wheel offset question

I am looking at new wheels, specifically the black rock 997 steel wheels on summit racing. I like the steel wheel look, and the ease of balancing them. They are going on an 03 chevy 2500hd reg cab long bed.

I am getting 16s, but I'm not sure of the width, it's either going to be 8 or 10 wide, but my real question is what offset should I get. I want the wheels to poke out of the factory fender flares just a little bit. Maybe an inch or 2 at the most.

In the 16x10 there is a 4.25" backspace which is a -34mm offset, and the 16x8 there is a 4.25 backspace which is a -6mm.

Pictures would be awesome, even if it's not the same wheel but similar offset or backpacking would be perfect. Thank youguys in advance!
