I sometimes think I might like to ride an old balloon tired bike again, just for old times sake. I mentioned it to the wife last year as an employee had a modern big tire bike for sale cheap. I thought the wife might like it. She wasn't interested. Me? Heck no. I wish I had the energy to ride one again.

You still have it. In this area we are lucky to have the C&O Canal National Historic Park. The old tow path is a well maintained hike and bike trail. The grade is so easy you can peddle up river without feeling you are peddling up hill. It runs about 120 miles from Washington, DC to Cumberland, MD in the mountains. There are rail to trail paths all over. Again, trains needed an easy grade so riding is very easy. Check into what might be in your area. It's a great feeling to ride a bike, same as when you were a kid. Good exercise that won't tear you up also. No motor noise lets you ride right up on wildlife, too, same as paddling a canoe or kayak. I love doing both. Paddling down river is easy good exercise. I never hurt after doing that. Usually run between 7 and 15 mile trips. Usually in a kayak on the Shenandoah River in Page Valley, VA. We paddle up on all sorts of wildlife. Both make beer taste really good when you're done

Shoot, I let that slip into the pictures to remind you all. I have a little garage built for it, but my son's Ranger I built it around has to get gone first. We finally got the title from his mom...after convincing her it is safe in our hands AND you have to have a title in hand to sell a vehicle!!! I have a file cabinet with a file full of titles. I'm not the one who loses titles. I don't feel like tugging it out just to tuck it in somewhere else. Hopefully he can sell it soon. Life will be good when that happened. It's all closed up, needs doors and a slab, but I'm happy with it as it is for now. Mo' better than under tarp!

Ha Ha. That's as close to having a Chevrolet corvette I've gotten, too. I even had to sell that! It was a deluxe model, I guess, the other Corvettes I've seen. It was red lacquer with chrome fenders and 3spd

My pickle jar. It used to be in the local market on the meat counter. But they were closing their doors (unfortunately) and selling everything off. I've bought a lot of pickles out of that jar. I like pickles. So I bought it.

This is the market it came from. I hope somebody opens it back up.

That was funnier than the joke! Simple and clever one, ey? In the neighboring town the VFD has a marquee along the main drag through (state hwy). This year it's is for announcing each cancelled event, such as the truck and tractor pull that would have been last night. They had the chicken joke below that and it gave me a good kick. I took that with me on up to the truck show at Carlisle. Yeah Mark, a good clean grandpa joke
