Bumper Guards

Are these GM or an aftermarket? They were in a truck I bought a while back, and I don't see any part numbers on them anywhere.

Re: Bumper Guards

The GM accessory bumper guards are technically aftermarket. They could be bought from the dealership in GM boxes or elsewhere in the manufacturer's package. Then there were other brands. You have the one of the other brands. The GM ones aren't "cut-out" or "scooped-out" above the bumper as much. In other words, more metal on the sides, thicker above the bumper. Also, the way the metal comes together at the bottom is different. Some will say they aren't GM based on the ribbed pads. In this case they'd be right, but some GM pads had the ribs as well.

Thank you, this is the first set I've ever run across.
