Wheel Hub and Bearing Help Please

I have a 1994 K2500 with 8600gvw and need new wheel bearings and hubs. I want to go Timken but they don't have one listed for my truck. They do have one listed for a 1994 2500 Suburban with 8600gvw. Would these not be the same? Anyone recently do this and know a Timken part number? Or had better luck with SKF? Thanks

Re: Wheel Hub and Bearing Help Please

I just redid mine and I got em from the parts store. 100 bucks but a lifetime warranty. I would think it would be the same? Since everything else is almost...

I've been convinced that Timken is the best so I'd like to find Timken if they are available.

Re: Wheel Hub and Bearing Help Please

I am unable to find an exact match timken bearing for your truck.Your truck does not have antilock brakes.

The following timkin bearings will fit:

SP580300
SP580301
SP580302
SP580303

These bearings will have wheel speed sensors installed on them(for vehicles equipped with abs), but other than that, they will bolt right in. You can cut the wire off, or ziptie the wire out of the way. I wouldn' remove the sensor, because it will allow dirt to get inside the bearing.

There is no direct replacement with no speed sensors? How is SKF compared to Timken? I can get AC Delco but at a premium.

I am not familar with SKF. BCA Makes a good bearing, but I cant find one for your truck.

Moog has a lifetime warranty. Part number 515018. Im also getting that part number for the AC Delco bearing.

Re: Wheel Hub and Bearing Help Please

I put the Duralast ones on my '97 K2500, which is also at or above the 8600gvw. I was looking for something to just replace mine at the moment. I am planning on a total overhaul of the entire truck at some point, but being its only got 119k, and I haven't driven it 1k in the last 2 years. I agree on the Timkens, they are one of the better brands.
