49 years without a radio antenna

And I’m not about to change that now. Anyone else have a truck that’s never had a radio?

Yes, of course. How many are still without a radio now, is my question?

Re: 49 years without a radio antenna

Back in Saskatchewan, radios were uncommon in trucks in the day, so MOST seemed to have blockoff plates and no antenna. We only had 2-3 AM stations and no FM at the time anyway!

Re: 49 years without a radio antenna

I was given a 68 GMC 1500 by a neighbor years ago because I showed interest in it. The wife’s father got it as a retirement present. The only option it had was wsw tires. When I sold it I removed the virgin cowl and it’s now on my 71 GMC 1500. It’s interesting how many folks notice it....

Re: 49 years without a radio antenna

This thread kinda makes me want to weld my antennae hole closed (The hole's buggar'd up some anyhow). And, then just use one of those glass mount "T" shaped ones. I can't say that I would NOT miss the radio.

Any pics out there of the whole antennae-less truck?
