Should I be Concerned About This?

These gaps in between the wheel and the hubs? I bought my wheels off a guy who had them on a K5 so they should be the same right? I'm wondering if I need some sort of rings to fill in that space between the wheel center and the hubs.

Re: Should I be Concerned About This?

No, the lug nuts center the wheel. From what I have been told by a rear end shop, the hub center on the axle centers the brake drum or rotor...not the wheel.

Ok, so the lugs don't need help from the hub.

Re: Should I be Concerned About This?

That is the case with 99% of aftermarket wheels.

OE Wheels would be supported by the hub, and the lugs/nuts would hold the wheel to the hub.

Most aftermarket wheels have the wheels supported by the lugs/nuts.

hub centric vs. lug centric.

Re: Should I be Concerned About This?

looks like you're running tapered lug nuts and a shouldered wheel. Are the holes on the wheel tapered? If not you'll need the correct lug nuts since the wheels are not hub-centric.

I'm not sure. I'll buy the correct ones if they're not already, what do I look for?

Re: Should I be Concerned About This?

There will be a bowl shaped taper under the head of the nut. It will align with the bowl shape in the stud pilot

Here's some info on lug nut styles.
You likely have conical seat ones on there but need the mag style.

Take one of them off & confirm what you have first.
