My 69 C10
I've been lurking around here for quite awhile gathering info so I guess I'll post some pics of my build. I've been working on it off and on for about a year. I waited til I had some progress to start this thread. I'm hoping to get it done by the summer. I'm doing a down to the ground frame-off resto. Not a show truck, I'm gonna drive it like I stole it one of these days. But I do want it to be nice when I'm done with it. So here we go.
This is where I started. Plain jane, base model work truck. Pretty well kept, I got it from the second owner. He said the original owner used it for work, but parked it under a shed. Not a lot of rust, so that was probably true.

Here's the cab after I got it stripped down. Not too bad, except for the corner by the filler cap. Somebody used a drill instead of a stud gun. Looked like swiss cheese after I got it sandblasted. I couldn't bear to take a pic of that! Found a good donor piece and replace all of that.
     This was not so good.   The rest looks pretty good.

Ok, here's a few more pics.
Frame sandblasted and powder coated. 85 front crossmember installed with 2.5" drop spindles, 5 lug rear axles, and 4" drop springs.   I ran into this when I put the rally's on. These are 8". I discovered I had some 7" and they will clear but it's still really close, about 1/16" at the wheel weight. Probably going to go with some 17's or maybe 18's.  Next up, GMPP 350 HO, Edelbrock Air Gap intake, 670 Holley, Hedman short headers.

Bed crossmember notched for rear fuel tank. I did the sides at a 45. Thought it would add a little strength. Clears the tank fine.
