I wouldn't be so sure about that.... OPEC announced they're going to cut production to bring the price back up... saw it on the news this morning.

Re: gas 3.46

Yeah, supposed to have their meeting on Friday. Either the price will continue down until then, or the traders will freak out and start driving crude and gas back up.

I saw that some of the oil company's are going to stop the building of new drilling cause of the LOW demand for gas . They better get their heads out of the sand . its 2.59 and I think thats cheap when I remember buying it for .45 cents a gal . S#@$ cigs was more than a gal of gas then

Re: gas 3.46

I still say that the only reason it is low is because the election is in a couple of weeks. The powers that be don't want you thinking about high gas prices when you go to vote.
I find it interesting that we had a terrible hurricane a short time ago and we supposedly lost 20% of our refining capacity and the price of gas has gone......
DOWN?
I predict that it will start going back up right after the election.

Re: gas 3.46

I paid 3.09 for diesel and almost pasted out, that was a full $40 cheaper for the same 20 gallans that I bought 6 months ago for $5/gal!! -$2/gal is great, but again Diesel was .45-.50 cents a gallon cheaper than unleaded when i bought the truck 17 months ago, so I am happy it is heading down but will not be satisfied till it gets back to where it was before this mess started!! Can I get a $1.##/gallon here!!??

OK, so my prediction hit a day early:

Harlingen, Texas - $1.98

Oklahoma City - $2.08

I have a feeling the OPEC cut is already factored into the market. They have been blabbing about a big cut at their meeting for over a week now. The traders are expecting it.

Re: gas 3.46

Well with Wall street dropping 500 points yesterday I don't think the OPEC crud is going to cause a huge price increase. The oil buyers musta spent all thier $$$ back when crude was selling at $120'ish a barrel, man, under $2, hope it gets to AZ before the prices go up again!!
