1997 gmc k2500 cranks but won't start, need some help!

I have a 1997 GMC K2500 SLE with a Vortec 350 and a 4L80 automatic transmission. It has 140,500 miles on it. 14 bolt semi float for a rear end.

The truck will crank all day long but will not start. The idiot lights do not come on the dash and I can not hear the fuel pump buzzing. Everything else works (HVAC blower, lights, radio) except interior lights they never worked, except when you rock the dimmer switch.

I have checked all of the fuses and they are good.

I have 12.6 VDC running over to the power distribution block under the hood by the brakes.

I have all new connections on the battery cables.

Also I have just overhauled this motor about 500 miles ago and it has been running good up until now.

I don't know if this is related but I just filled up the tank.

I hope I have provided enough information.

THANK YOU GUYS FOR YOUR HELP.

If you cant hear the pump running, it or the relay is bad. It could also be the oil pressure sender, but the pump should still prime.

Have/can you check the fuel pressure?

Squirt a shot of starting fluid down its throat that will tell you if its ignition or fuel related.

Another thing to add it did start when the dash lights came on.

I have been reading around that it might be the ignition switch. Anybody have any thoughts on that?

Thanks I'll give that a try. Are they any sensor that I have to worry about.

Cutting then bed seems like more work than actually taking the bed off when pulling the tank is much easier.

No, just spray enough to get it to fire once.

I agree but I patched it back together and but a rubber floor mat in and it also sits under the tool box.

I have not had time to work on the truck yet, maybe tomorrow.

I have not check the fuel pressure. And it has a brand new oil pressure sending unit that I put in when I did the overhaul. I have only put about 1,000 miles on it since I bought it a year ago.

Also when I bought it had a newer fuel pump in it. (They cut a hole in the bed to changed it)
