Blazer with a '67/'68 front clip and side trim

Does anybody have one with a '67-'68 clip AND chrome trim? (especially down the sides?) I've looked through a couple Blazer photo threads and I cant find exactly what I am looking for. I want a two-tone so I need to see one with the trim.

I would like to talk to someone who's done it, so I know exactly what I need to buy.

Re: Blazer with a '67/'68 front clip and side trim

Here's mine, it's still a project but i did install the complete trim set. Wasn't to bad to install. You just have to trim it in a couple of spots.
I will say that i wasn't very happy with how thin the metal is.
I can take more pics for you later if you want to see a specific area let me know.

Re: Blazer with a '67/'68 front clip and side trim

HA! That's exactly why I LOVE this forum. Anything you want to do... there is somebody that has already done it. Thanks for sharing. And yeah, I'd love to know where you had to cut it, and any other advice you can give. Did you use long bed truck trim or could I get away with short bed? Either way... I wanna see a few more photos because that thing is SWEEET!!! What did you do to the interior? stock or custom?

I looked through PAGES and PAGES of Blazer thread photos and didnt see a single one like this. Except for babyblueoval's rendering and he and I are both in the build and planning stages.

But, yours is BEAUTIFUL! And the color is different too! I had a Cannondale Mtn Bike back in the 90's that was that color and I love it.

However, you need to show that thing off. It is definitely something to be proud of! (and I can verify that it is not in any of these...) haha! whew...

Your color combo kinda makes my red and white idea seem boring. Oh well... here is what I was thinking. I had thought about whitewalls, but I have about changed my mind now because I drive my vehicles a lot and I think those white walls would drive me nuts...
...thanks to babyblueoval for letting me hack up his rendering.

They make this trim specifically for Blazers at Mar-K. Let's see if the link works: http://mar-k.com/Catalog/catalog.aspx

Re: Blazer with a '67/'68 front clip and side trim

oooo, NICE! Another reason I love this forum. I wouldn't have found those. When I went to Mar-K's site a few weeks ago, I didn't see them. They are a little tougher to find since they didn't make Blazer's in '67-68.

That's really cool! It's just the price tag is what hurts...why is the 67/8 trim so expensive?

Yeah, babyblueoval told me it's origins. Ha! Thanks to both of you!

At least his rendering has some depth. Mine is just a hack...

This is the plan for my Blazer also. KMACD71 did these photoshops to give an idea of how it would look.

Nice! Haha. Orange was another choice I was considering I have a gallon of 3 part Candy Orange PearlCoat. But I've really got my mind wrapped aroung the Dodge Viper Red. (and "Red Sled" sounds much cooler than "Orange Sled")

Great looking Blazer too!

Re: Blazer with a '67/'68 front clip and side trim

Reviving an old thread I started because Brothers just introduced the trim I was looking for... 67-68 trim for a Blazer

And the even better news is, the $629.99 trim is on sale until 10/31 for $499.99

http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodin...number=CBMS68B
Posted via Mobile Device

Of course... The Mar-k trim is now only $543.00 and it's made in the USA. Did that price come down? I was thinking Mar-k's was almost $700 back when this thread started?

Edit... After adding in shipping, Mar-k is $2.49 cheaper. Mar-k $574. Brothers $576.49

Here is mine. I bought the trim from Mar-K. It was for a 1968 Blazer and it is very heavy. I wish they made ALL the trim I needed.
