K5 Blazer @ U Pick & Pull

Went to a car show this weekend and was talking with the owner of a real nice Ochre and White 72 Cheyenne short bed. He said that he heard there was a K5 in a local junk yard. I went this morning and there it was...

Re: K5 Blazer @ U Pick & Pull

That's too bad. I hate to see these trucks in the pick-n-pull yards. Around here they stay in the yard for a month or two and are gone forever. What year is it 71 or 72. Did you get any parts off of it, or are you planning to? I have an ocher Blazer that I could use a LH fender for.

Re: K5 Blazer @ U Pick & Pull

If that is a single pane sliding window in the top i would make it worth your while to pull it for me provided its the side i need even if glass is broken.

I was hoping it was in better shape and less picked over, but I got a few good pieces off of it. The left fender is the best piece of sheetmetal on it. But with that said it still has a dent in it.

I would have taken the whole top, but it has a sun roof cut in to it too. The left side slider is in tact. The right side is broken.

Re: K5 Blazer @ U Pick & Pull

Still some usable pieces on the truck. The dash is uncut, has a nice pair of sun visors, front and rear differential in it, left front inner and outer fenders are usable.

Re: K5 Blazer @ U Pick & Pull

From what I can see that rig may be worth saving????

The last time I seen a K5 in a wrecking yard was in the mid 90's. it looked like it rolled down a hill and caught on fire...............but I dd manage to get a few parts off of it

Re: K5 Blazer @ U Pick & Pull

That's a $3000-4000 truck in the North east, as it sits.

That's one of the many things I love about this network of Blazer/truck fanatics. Someone spots good stuff in a wrecking yard in one state, and makes it available to others by pulling and shipping parts. It's all about the brotherhood.

I'm a paying customer if the windshield frame isn't rusted out. I just need the top portion!

This window shot partially shows One of the same wheels placed in the bed

If I transplant that driver side slider I'm now going to see the former owners face staring back at me whenever I look at it. I feel a little creeped out.
