12-bolt welds...

Not sure what’s going on with these spots. I assume on the one I should grind down the factory weld and re-weld in the hole? Also there’s a hole in another spot. I’m assuming these holes thru the metal shouldn’t exist.

Those are about average. Sometimes they weep a little oil, i have smeared rtv on them before painting in the past. Welding would probably be better.

If it didn't leak oil it should be fine.

It's a plug weld. Those look like most. Put some paint on it and move on to the next project.

agreed... they've all got them...most arnt pretty...its just the spot weld to hold the tube in the housing after its pressed in

Ah ok. I certainly have enough projects on this truck and didn’t notice them leaking so I’m just gonna paint. Thanks guys.
