Pictures of flat/satin paint jobs

This doesn't pertain to just black or white, it can be any color as long as it is flat or satin. Only the bed, hood and interior of mine is flat black right now. I have though about doing it in olive drab but can't make up my mind.(It's just rattle can for now.)

Same truck as the one with the black and red wheels. The new owner just painted the wheels.

Re: Pictures of flat/satin paint jobs

Gorgeous just gorgeous. Those pics reminded me why I'm not a fan of gloss paint hehe. Anybody got an idea how long a satin paintjob can last without fading or starting to look crappy? I live in SoCal and that's the only concern I have. I really don't feel like reshooting my truck once a year hehe.

Re: Pictures of flat/satin paint jobs

It should last a good while. It's not like primer that gets that faded, powdery look after just a few months.

Re: Pictures of flat/satin paint jobs

It is cool to me how many of those awesome trucks are on this forum!
The best way to do a quality job getting a satin or flat finish is to use a good clear with proper amount of flattening agent for the effect desired. Having the good clear still gives you the UV protection to help prevent fading & chalking. Keep in mind when you spray flat or satin, there really is no chance for polishing out errors. And it is harder to repair & match in the event you have to down the road.(I am not trying to turn this into a paint & body topic. Just trying to help.)
Here are 2 I have on my comp.
