Drove mine for the first time in ~4 years. Over the last year, I swapped in a LQ4 6 liter (heads, cam, headers, etc), with a 4L65e and NP208. Made the 30 mile test drive fine, although it looks like the rear pinion bearings are shot.... time for 4.56s and a posi

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

I got my 6.5 turbo diesel engine running on a stand, the NV4500 is off being rebuilt and converted to 4x4. My trans shop is using an advance adapters kit to take the NV4500 to a round pattern NP205 which they are also building for me. The transmission will be more expensive than the engine swap

6.5 is a 1992 mechanical injection motor. I replaced gaskets, water pump, timing chain, harmonic balancer and pulley. Gave it a rattle can "rebuild" in the process.

YouTube vid of motor running on the stand.

Backup or reverse camera install. It's setup with the camera mounted above the license plate. Drilled a 3/4" hole to flush mount the camera. The image will display on the JVC touch screen head unit. The wires need to be run yet but here is my progress so far for folks that are looking for ideas.
Camera: TOPTIERPRO
Display: JVC KD-AVX77

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

got some rusted spots replaced on the drivers side, installed my ORD shackle flip and springs temp installed, realized I have a 4 inch lift not a 6, now to decide which way to go. 6 inch springs for the front and bigger tires. if so it will have to stay outside as it wont fit in the Garage. Now to order the 4.56 gears for the rear axle and get that started.
