I love the trucks, but I'll take that '67 Vette in the background instead.

Great truck, but I don't see how they could spend $230K for the rebuild. Thats crazy.

$230 does sound like alot to me also, But if the guy had a custom builder do the truck then it could be mostly labor.

Re: On the block at Barrett Jackson

This is the same cameo that is on the cover of my Brothers truck catalog. If I remember correctly, it was owned by a guy from around Cottonwood, Ca. (My neck of the woods.)

Re: On the block at Barrett Jackson

I saw this truck in person and its a hell of a nice truck but for $169,650.00 that is just insane. Yeah I guess dwcsr is right you have to have more money than brains to think that is a good deal.

Re: On the block at Barrett Jackson

it is a gorgeous truck, but i think that 230k figure for build cost has got to be a bit inflated.

i have friends that have sold 100k+ show / magazine cars that had a fraction of that invested

not to mention that 170k for that truck is a bit over the top.

goes to show what can happen with the right presentation of a vehicle.

Re: On the block at Barrett Jackson

After check back on Barrett Jackson's web site, they now showed it sold for $162,400.00. Still a lot of money the truck. In my mind it was worth about $90k at the most. But once again it goes to show us all, it's only worth what someone's willing to pay and in this case it was $162,400.00!
