Boxed Frame?

Has anyone ever attempted to or succeeded in boxing in their frame?
Would all the modifications needed to make this work be worth it?
A buddy of mine is seriously thinking of doing it.

I think Bluebear has done it once or twice but does like to do it....

"Okay, sorry crappy joke"

It should actually be a pretty easy process if you has a Plasma cutter or a torch and can cut a good pattern.

Whether or not the frame really needs it is another story.

Someone here must have done one of these before...

Regards,

Stace

Never liked him anyway. Around here he woulda got whooped on the first show. I figure it could be a publicity stunt and he still works there but you'll never see him on camera again. Anyway is boxing for strength or just cosmetic? Looks like our frames should be stout enough already. Just my .02.

should be easy enough to do but i would hate to relocate all the brake/gas lines and all the junk that goes with it. i wouldn`t think it needs to be boxed unless it`s gonna be a pro street dragster or have a hydraulic susp. under it, my .02.
