Help ID this truck
My sister found this truck on some land they bought. Asked me about it. I'm guessing pre 47 Military truck, GMC, 2 1/2 ton?
Can anyone tell us more? serial number is 31866. Thanks for any help |

looks like an old Kaiser 2-1/4 ton, does it have GMC on it somewhere?

2.5 ton GMC truck from what I can tell, nothing special at all. A local heavy equipment yard has a dozen or so. You could haul it for junk iron and make some money off of it. I have seen the axles used in mud trucks but they are not a top loader like the Rockwell axles are. I think the truck is call a M211 or something like that.

Single rear wheel (not duals) 3 axle truck from the Korean War era. Check on steel soldiers.com. for more info.

If it's a single rear wheel it's an M135. If it's dual rear wheel it's an M211.
Single rear wheel trucks have wheel wells, the dual trucks have the bed sitting a little higher. I just bought one a month or so ago. I could use a few parts, do you still have the truck Oldguy829?  This one is a 1952. You'll notice the hard top has an extra window in the side behind the doors. |
