1957 -1979 chevy-gmc hybrid

Just recently picked up this 79 jimmy with a blown th350, and this 57 chevy truck cab and front clip, thought I'd do my version of a NAPCO !
The frame really kicks up in the rear on the jimmy, thus the 57 seems to look like it's on 4" body lift, In reality there is no lift, at least on the body. The Jimmy chassis has rancho leafs , So I'm guessing some lift there !
I have made the 4 cab mounts, and the 2 mounts for the front clip, The cross flow radiator from the jimmy slipped right back in with a few modifications !
Typical build, modify one thing to work, creates 2 other things to modify !!!
Just have to keep my head down and stay focused, it will get done !
( of course I said that about the 38, the 2 40's the 49, and now the 57 ! )

Hope you all enjoy ! Mundo

You sure? I figure it would be in the 73 to 87 section!

Awesome project, I have a busted up full size 93 blazer with a very clean frame under it, I've always wondered if an earlier truck body would work on it.

I guess the title is subjective HUH ! I had to stretch the jimmy chassis 8.5 ",not a big deal really...

I like it. I'm surprised no one has moved this yet. I can't wait to see it all together. I've always wanted a 55-59 Napco or do what you are doing and make it appear as one. Hey,is that your work truck in the background?

Re: 1957 -1979 chevy-gmc hybrid

Why would someone move this ? Don't they like half breeds ?
After driving old junk, I personally like to go fast, stop fast and steer fast, but the new stuff all looks the same to me...
