Re: Iced Green dream

Looking good, keep it up...

and as for a central valley meet...
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=342387

I read about an annual meet that these guys (kevsclassics and c/10king) have and wanted to go last year, but had a schedule conflict. They sound like really great guys and everybody that I've read that runs into them can't wait to hang out again. This get together is less than two weeks away, and knowing a little about the Valveburners club, there will probablly be a good mix of vehicles there. I you're looking for more of a truck only thing, do a little searching under kevsclassics posts and you should be able to find when their annual meet is, I think it's late summer...

Re: Iced Green dream

has it really been 8 months with no update?

good news and bad news.

good news, i still have the truck and a job

bad news, i've been so busy with work and the kid that I have had minimal time to work on the project.

I decided to use my original cab. Turns out it is in better shape than the one from my donor truck. I will just have to cut in the ac holes myself. I got the cab and bed back on, just need a little body work and then Im going to get paint thrown onto it. If I can manage to get my radiator, tranny and ac system this summer, I should have it rolling by fall. Next spring is more realistic, but I would love for this fall. Here is one teaser photo, stay tuned for exhaust install photos soon.

Re: Iced Green dream

I sold my 1972 donor tuck yesterday and my donor cab today. Now that I am getting parts out of the way I should be able to make some good progress. I am picking up the remaining parts I need to finish my exhaust and should have it done this week.

Re: Iced Green dream

more parts on the way. I ordered my drum brake kit and front brake lines from early clasics. A/c vents from billet specialties and the vintage air control panel for the a/c unit. With these parts I should be able to run my e-brake lines and start to mock up my dash. Hope to make some progress this weekend. I may even make a trip to the good guys show this weekend and see if any vendors are running any specials on parts.

Re: Iced Green dream

I have a 396 BB still that I have not been able to sell. I found this truck the other day and spoke to the owner who seems to want to sell it. All original 64 short box fleet side from Sierra Railroad. I dont know if its just me or not, but I think that big block would fit nicely in this truck.

Re: Iced Green dream

A little side tracked still. I sold my 2004 Z71 and bought this 2006 crew cab. Its been a while since I have had a 2wd. This one caught my eye and I decided I had to have it. My first black vehicle, and probably my last. I guess I will find out how long I can take it, keeping it clean and all. The only good thing is I drive about 4,000 miles a year and have a garage to keep it in.

Re: Iced Green dream

I am slowing gathering more parts and should have a little more progress soon. I ordered an entropy radiator with fans, thermostat and housing, LFD's gas petal conversion kit, throttle cable, transmission kick down cable, plug wires and wire looms. Once I get my front pulley system I should be able to fire this thing back up. I am still shooting for the 1st of the year. I think I can make it.
