Front driveshaft clearance with 4L60E

I haven't installed the 5.3/4L60E in the frame yet, but I know I'm going to have issues clearing the transmission pan corner. What have people been doing to fix this problem? Can I eliminate the CV joint and run U-joints on both ends? Any issues putting the CV joint at the diff side of the driveshaft?
Thanks

I think mine is barely going to clear with the CV joint. If not I think I am going to just beat it in...I'll post pics of mine tomorrow once I get it installed.

You could take out the cv but you will Be close on hitting the crossmember then. I've seen people run just a u joint at each end but have to chop out a v notch on the crossmember to make it have room. Without the cv in there you will also need a longer shaft to take up the extra room the cv gave the shaft.

Was that 1/8" clearance to the CV joint, or did you have to remove it.
Thanks

The CV joint was bout an 1/8" from the pan when installed and i have a 4" lift. I worried that with suspension travel there was a chance the CV joint would contact the pan.
