Re: My 67 SWB BoostedC10 (LQ4 S475)

Nothing to exciting this weekend but I did get my transmission almost finished up. Waiting on my converter from Yank and a new internal harness as they sent me one for a pre-2003.

Rebuilding your tranny, no big deal? I'm glad you have it all under control. I would be lost inside of one of those things.
Keep up the good work.

I've been inside a ton of 4l80e's and th400's. They are not that bad once you do one or two of them. This one though, was a little learning experience for me. Typically I just toss an HD2 shift kit in them and redo frictions and steels, but with mine I decided to go a different route (following some good info from Chris Cline) and dual fed the direct internally instead.

Looking good! Can you post a pic of how you have the transmission mounted to the engine stand?

I will try to get you one when I get home tonight. It is just a homemade fixture that fits a normal engine stand tube.

Thanks Hart. Hopefully my Hills tubs show up shortly to see if I have the room to keep it the way I have it planned.

Really curious to see the turbo fitment w/ the fenderwells installed. I wanted to go the same route you are. Looks good so far, who's manifolds/headers are those?

I should have the front wheel wells this weekend I hope, so I will find out soon enough. From the pictures Rob has sent me of his installed and the pics Kyle has posted of Elwood they should work. The headers are just ebay turbo headers for LS swaps, think the company was XSPower. On thing I will say is they are nicely welded, stainless DOM, and thick (Both flange and tubing). I was actually surprised and had no plan to actually run them. They were bought for mock up, but after seeing them my plan is to modify them to fit my needs black ceramic coat them and see what happens.

As soon as I have the parts I need I will take as many pictures as I can and post them here.

Slowly but surely! I'm itching to get it running and play with the Holley software!

Not yet but very soon. I was hoping to do it this weekend but my converter won't be here until next week. Once I have it I will get the trans bolted up so I can get my driveshaft made and to see how it fits under the cab.

Re: My 67 SWB BoostedC10 (LQ4 S475)

I'm still holding out for pb's new dm.I already had my cab floor finished and coated and the firewall is primed and blocked.Figured I would have to settle for a 4L60E or th350/400 so I wasn't worried about it.THEN ,I got a deal on a 2002 2wd 2500.6.0/4L60E and the worrying set in after reading some of the others build threads on this site.I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you because I'm ready to see this thing done!Keep up the great work!

Thanks man I appreciate it. My converter just showed up today, so hopefully this weekend I will have a better idea of what I need to do. I have to get the cab back off to make running the fuel and brake lines easier and to get my crossmembers in the right spots so I can get a driveshaft made. Updates coming real soon now that most of my parts are here!
