84 blazer rear window reg manual

Ok I have installed 2 used ones both are stripped out ARGH !! anyone know where to find a definaly good one or a new one cheep ? this is not my blazer just trying to help a friend.

Are you sure the teeth on the regulators are lined up properly?

yeah they are lined up but in the center gear they are worn down very far and slip when the window weight is on them.
