46 Crash box 4 speed
1st gear and first gear idler -- must have hit them hard under stress to downshift into first

Its hard to say, from the pics....but if no teeth are totally missing, I would clean it up, dress the teeth that mesh together(die grinder). Just take the burs off. Then do bearings & seals....longhorn

Agree, I believe it is a good trans to keep. I have 2 spares and run one in the 46 3/4 ton.
