88-98 door swap

Has anybody swapped 95 and newer doors onto a 88-91 truck? The problem I'm having is with the electrical connector. Does anybody know the pinout for both doors so I can splice the correct wires together?

The doors are the same. The inside metal door panel will need swapped, you will have to swap the wiring too. Use the 88-91 wiring with the 88-91 inside metal door panel. That will all work on the 95+ door.

Re: 88-98 door swap

My bad I wasn't clear. On what I was trying to accomplish. I wanted to swap the 95 door panels into my 89. I swapped the metal back plate so the door handle fits etc. The issue I'm having is matching up the wires from the old harness to the new switch on the door. But I think I got it.... fingers crossed

Re: 88-98 door swap

I put doors from a 98 onto my 93. But they had manual windows and locks. No wires

I did have to move the "door closed/light off" sensor on the side of the dash because i kept the 98 door panels and they didn't push that little button.
