Considering a 4L60E to 4L80E swap

I've been through a few transmissions in my 96 Suburban and it's time to replace it again. So I have been considering swapping to a 4L80E. My plan was to do a semi-complete drivetrain swap and use the transmission, transfer case, and drive lines from a 3/4 or 1 ton truck/suburban from around the same year. The transmission crossmember will be moved back to match the 4L80E.

I know the plugs are the same, but not the wiring. It seems that the PCM needs to be reflashed too. I might also run into the issue of the transfer case harness being too short.

Did I miss anything? Is there anything else I should be aware of?

PS: The transmissions have different gearing and I'm willing to accept this.
