I have a 98 c2500 that has the optional am/fm/tape player. I have found a wrecked truck with the isolated cd player. I cant seem to find instructions on how to remove and if I need separate harness. some goof cut the one in the truck at the radio. any info appreciated thanx Doug

Re: 98 cd player

I picked up a slave CD player on ebay. It came with a wire that plugged into the back of the AM/FM/Tape player.

You have to gently pry the trim piece off that goes around the edge of the radio and gauges, and then you'll see bolts holding the stereo on. Pull stereo out, plug wiring harness in, drop other end of harness down behind AC controls and plug into CD slave unit, bolt both back in place.
