Re: Photo shopped picture of my truck when it's done!

Isn't that cool, he added all my little things like the Corvette park lights and 53 Corvette headlamp grilles, the wheel covers, all of it, that IS my truck I have planned. It's spread around the back yard, in the shed, in the garage, in the garage attic, it's a big model kit that isn't even primed, but there it is complete, I REALLY needed to see this!

Re: Photo shopped picture of my truck when it's done!

I'm shooting for January 2020 on my 48. I'd like to stick it in three indoor shows on the west coast and then hit the road to Texas at the end of March for Lone Star. My wife grew up in Central Texas and we will probably do a several week long road trip. She wants a big rv trailer and I want one the 48 will pull without issues.

Some time or other when both trucks are done we will have to get them together for a photo session.

No, not at all, but I will use the same mesh and set back the lights so they are behind the bezel.

I thought those park lamps were too small that he put in the photo but I'll be darn if I didn't come across the Vette lights I have today and they ARE very small, about 2.25 inch in diameter, much smaller than the GMC lights.

What I would like to find is a Wilderness lite that western Wilderness RV built a few years back. They were built to be towed behind a small suv.

Re: Photo shopped picture of my truck when it's done!

c'mon Brian. some pics man!
a guy with the skill set and work ethic you have will end the project with a really nice looking truck I am sure. it will just be a matter of what other priorities have taken your time away from your truck project. I have the same problem. everybody else's emergency becomes your next project. man, we gotta learn how to say NO!
are you still doing your 15 minutes a day theory? I tried that, and it worked for awhile too. then somebody else's emergency.........needless to say my project is not done yet either. the other emergencies are though.......

Re: Photo shopped picture of my truck when it's done!

are you also thinking red like the pic? metallic, solid colour, pearls?
c'mon, we gotta know.
if you are like me that changes like the weather, lol.
I really like the red that is used on the F,F,F, Ford and mazda vehicles. it is VERRRRRY expensive though. looks really nice in the sun. I think it is called ruby red.

Re: Photo shopped picture of my truck when it's done!

the red in the pic looks like GM torch red. I have painted that many times, no regrets. it would look great. the red that dan in pasadena painted is also nice. I think it is a honda colour.
