Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!

Here's my 72 Sierra Grande.

Here's what she looked like when I bought her.

After replacing the front bumper:

And here's the kicker - I was able to find the original owner and he was kind enough to send some pictures from when she was new!

Here's a link to a GM Canada camper ad - was the paint pattern on this truck offered in Canada?

DeadheadNM, that color combo is awesome. Why didn't we get that combo in the States?

I agree - would love to know more about this combo and see more examples if indeed a Canada-specific pattern. Canadians had colors on offer not available in the States like pink.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!

Here is a picture of my Dad's 1970 Custom Camper GMC 2500. Taken around 1974. He purchased it new in 1970 and it's still in the family.

That was then, this is now. Getting close to finishing this project.

Looks like it might be a Pullman camper, they had large rear doors on them like this one does. Some of them also had a neat slide out awning. Google "Pullman camper" and you'll see some pics.

Pullman. I forgot about those. I remember when I was a kid the local Veterinarians used something similar to this doctoring the livestock.
Maybe the same thing.
