Stock c 20 suspension on ls swap?

Do you change the suspension to smooth out the ride ? What changes do you make ? I currently have the factory 350 in my 1970 C20 and anything over 70mph is not fun. Was cosidering an ls swap but what good is the additional power if the truck drives like crap over 70 mph? Want to keep the factory suspension because it is a true work truck.

Shocks/tires make a big diff in the ride. I would ask, if it is leaf or coil on the rear? Longhorn

Re: Stock c 20 suspension on ls swap?

should be no issue...I dropped LS in my c30 in place of a 350...drives like a dream....I've had it up over 100mph... (on a deserted road in mexico)
if it drives like crap you may need to look at alignment, shocks, tires and steering components. .
