Re: Should I or shouldn't I? That's the question....

Well I am sorry to report that the owner and I could not get together on a price. The truck is a rust bucket. It needs an entire new bed, entire new floor, rockers, lower cowl and just about every patch panel made for the cab. Both front inner fenders need replaced as well as the core support, grill, and inner grill. Needs all new trim, a seat, dash pad, gauge cluster, steering column, and most of the wiring has been hacked. The motor ran good but leaks put of just about everything. I made him a more than fair offer because I believe it's a true Cheyenne, but that would be hard to prove because the glove box option sheet was gone. The bench was changed out with a 60/40 out of a newer truck or suburban so no option sheet to be found.. It's a shame because it's a true short bed 4X4.

Someone who doesn't know better will probably pay his price.

Ouch.... that's way high for a rust bucket. Too bad because it looks nice on the pictures... pictures aren't always worth a thousand words I guess.

Re: Should I or shouldn't I? That's the question....

Yeah, that's WAY to high.. There is one available in my neighborhood (69 4x4 running) for 2K. Not a true 4x4 though, vin starts with a C. , not a K. Needs about all the same stuff but does have a excellent bed. I thought about getting it just for the bed and parting out the rest. Yeah, 9k is way to much!!!!

Re: Should I or shouldn't I? That's the question....

Yep, not worth that kind of money for a huge project. I offered 4,500.00 and told him that was high for what the truck is, but he said not high enough... I was actually relieved after thinking about it... LOL
